Only six short months ago we said goodbye to your first house. We were lucky to have Melissa offer us her townhouse for a few months until we figured out where we wanted to go. We thought that was Seattle, but as it turns out, we are going to stay in Salt Lake for a while longer. There are just too many good reasons to stay right now; mainly Grandma, Grandpa, Emily, Mary, Katherine, Will, James, Jennifer, Gunes, Kim & Koda.
So yesterday we closed on our new house. Sooo exciting. It has a swing-set and in-ground trampoline for you. There are 5 bedrooms and 3 baths and lots of room for you to play and grow. There is a canal running through the back yard, and lots of room for a big tree house. We can't wait to get in and set up the pool. Hopefully your new brother or sister will join you in this house. We will see.
You are really growing up fast these days. You are an amazing dancer and pull out new moves every time we hear music. You love books and babies, and are very good at keeping yourself occupied while mommy works from home.
Speaking of mommy working from home, last week we had a pretty major scare. I was working at my desk and put you in the bath to play. I can see you from my desk, and so you take baths and play while I work all the time. Well the other day you were playing when all of the sudden I heard a loud splash. I turned to see you and you were not there. I ran to the tub and you were underwater on your back and struggling to reach for the sides to get up. Your face was so scared I dont think I will ever forget how you looked. I quickly grabbed you out of the tub and held you dripping wet in my arms. We both started to cry. You were probably only under the water for 15 seconds or so, but I bet it seemed like forever to you. Believe me, we will not be doing partially supervised baths ever again.
OK, so on a MUCH lighter note...You are saying tons of words now. You will pretty much repeat most words we ask you to. You know almost all of your body parts and can tell me what each animal says.....that is until Daddy messed you up by teaching you a really annoying scream for birdie which you now think is funny to use for every animal noise.
A couple of weeks ago we took you to the zoo. We bought an annual pass, so we should get pretty good at animal noises by the end of the season. You had your first whole ice cream cone at the zoo. You made quite a mess.
Today you spend the day with Grandma and Grandpa so I could get some work done. You were so excited when I told you were were going to see them. You say papa, so I thought you were excited to see Grandpa...but when we pulled up and say then, you ran up to Grandma and called her papa. Oh well. You love them very much and they let you do whatever you want. When I
Anyway, not a very exciting post. I just want to get better at posting more often and keeping this journal up to date. Your time as a baby is going by way to fast and I want to remember these times always. You are the best thing that ever happened to me. I hope I always make you feel that way.
Love you forever and always. mama
